ROBERT  KEITH "BOB" COPE

Robert Keith "Bob" Cope 69, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away Friday January 9, 2026 in his residence.  He was born November 27, 1956 in Harrison Township, Michigan the son of Keith Cope and Anna Havrilla.  Robert married Joan M. Garrison on September 15, 1981 in Jersyville, Illinois.  He worked as a Regional Manager for Kerasotes Theaters. He was most happy when he was at home with his dog and family. He enjoyed the "lake life" and watching birds.         

 He is survived by his wife, Joan Cope of Neoga, Illinois; mother, Anna Havrilla of Michigan; daughters, Julie (Derek) Arndt of Mattoon, Illinois and Victoria (William) Janes of Mattoon, Illinois; Five grandchildren, Wyatt (Macie) Arndt, Jillian Arndt, Ethan Janes, Devlin Janes and Alaina Janes all of Mattoon, Illinois; great grandson, Bryson Arndt of Mattoon, Illinois; sisters, Susie Cope of Alabama and Cynthia Negri of Michigan; brother, Daniel Cuberson of Florida; numerous in laws, nieces and nephews.  

  He was preceded in death by his father.

As per Robert’s request cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Robert’s life will be held from 1:00 -3:00 P.M. Saturday February 21, 2026 at the Buck Grove Community Church, 2377 N County Rd 650 E, Mattoon, Illinois 61938.
